Opportunity America is partnering with Lumina Foundation to conduct a study of community and technical college workforce education.
Some of the most exciting innovation in higher education is taking place at community and technical colleges. This new thinking will be more important than ever as the nation emerges from the Covid crisis and millions of Americans need fast, job-focused upskilling to get back to work. Yet relatively little is known about the breadth and depth of two-year public college workforce programs.
Education authorities in 14 states volunteered to encourage community and technical colleges to respond early enough in 2020 to receive preliminary statewide results in January 2021.
The survey is still being administered in some parts of the country and will remain open until February 1.
